- An Indonesian converter reported to SSESSMENTS.COM on receiving PP Homo Raffia offers from a Saudi producer at $880/ton on LC at sight, CIF Indonesia main port basis. The converter opined that the offers are too high while the producer is not willing to sell below $800/ton-level. The converter mentioned that purchasing import cargoes at the moment is risky due to the volatile currency exchange rate.
- A trader in Vietnam informed SSESSMENTS.COM that PP Homo Raffia offers from the leading Indonesian polyolefins producer decreased by $10/ton compared to last week. The offers stood at the same level as for cargoes of Taiwan origin, at $840/ton on LC at sight, CIF Vietnam main port basis. For local materials, the trader has no offers, but according to the trader, domestic offers are between VND22,500,000-23,500,000/ton ($952-995/ton) on cash, FD Vietnam basis and including 10% VAT.
