NewsSSESSMENTS: Bullish Sentiment On-Post Labor Day Holiday Triggered Thai PE Producer To Adjust Offers To China

Author: SSESSMENTS

As SSESSMENTS.COM noted, bullish sentiment on-post Labor Day holiday has triggered a Thai PE producer to adjust up offers to China market. This week, the producer adjusted up offers for HDPE Film to China by $10/ton compared to offers on last Tuesday, April 28. The latest offer for HDPE Film is available at $810/ton. Meanwhile, offers for HDPE Yarn maintained stable as compared to the same period, currently available at $780/ton. All offers are on LC at sight, CIF China Main Port basis.

Similarly, the producer also made an upward adjustment on LLDPE Film offers by $20/ton from last Tuesday. The offer stands at $790/ton on LC at sight, CIF China Main Port basis. The producer added that the upward adjustment made was due to the increase in futures prices and bullish sentiment in China market on-post Labor Day holiday. However, the producer acknowledged that customers’ responses towards the latest offers were not that positive. Most are waiting and monitoring market development as today is the first trading day in May.
