Data obtained by SSESSMENTS.COM showed that local LLDPE Film C4 offers in China surged by more than CNY1,500/ton ($213/ton) in the last two weeks. Towards the end of March, local LLDPE Film C4 offers broke below CNY6,000-threshold ($853/ton) with the lowest deals recorded on March 30 at CNY5,450/ton ($774/ton) on cash, EXW China basis and including 13% VAT.
However, local LLDPE Film C4 prices started to rebound since the beginning of April following the increase in the futures market prices coupled with an expectation of higher crude oil prices. At the moment, buyers are showing more interest to make procurements as the prices are on an uptrend. As compared to a fortnight ago, offers for LLDPE Film C4 continue to move up with a total increment of CNY1,750/ton ($249/ton), SSESSMENTS.COM noted.
Likewise, in the past two weeks, SSESSMENTS.COM’s data showed that September 2020 LLDPE futures prices on dalian commodity exchange gained momentum moving back up to above CNY6,000/ton-threshold ($853/ton). On April 10, the futures prices settled at CNY6,130/ton ($871/ton), increased by CNY675/ton ($96/ton) compared to the settlement on March 30.
