Samuel Lazar, an official with ADNOC Logistics & Services, said the company is considering Fujairah and Jebel Ali for the LNG bunkering operation. ADNOC Logistics & Services has ordered five ships that will run solely on LNG and another one with a dual-fuel capability. However, currently, there are no options for LNG bunkering in the region. Lazar also revealed that cruise ship owners have placed orders for LNG-fueled vessels and are interested in using a Middle East port for LNG fuel.
