AlwaysFree: Brazil Oil Production Fell As Pandemic Disrupt Offshore And Onshore Operations

Author: SSESSMENTS

Brazil oil production fell 6.5% year-on-year in May as the pandemic hurts production and disrupting offshore and onshore oil fields activities, the national oil regulator ANP reported.

Brazil produced 3.485 million barrels of oil equivalent per day and 2.765 million barrels of which was oil, up 1.3% year-on-year but down at a significant rate from previous month due to pandemic.

Production has been stalled at some point in 60 offshore platforms, including the P-76, P-74 and P-67 platforms owned and operated by state-owned Pertobras. Production also hit at Cidade de Angra dos Reis and Mangaratiba, both FPSOs or massive ships used in oil productions and transportations.
