AlwaysFree: Grace Announces Startup Of Oriental Energy’s Polypropylene (PP) Lines

W. R. Grace & Co. announced on Monday that Oriental Energy had successfully started up two 400,000 tons/year polypropylene (PP) lines in Ningbo, China, which uses Grace’s UNIPOL PP process technology. The startup of Oriental Energy new lines brings the total UNIPOL PP operating capacity in China to over 6.3 million tons/year, which includes homopolymer, random, and impact copolymers. Grace said that another 2 million tons/year polypropylene (PP) capacity, which uses UNIPOL technology, would come on stream in the next few years in China. Oriental Energy also plans to build more polypropylene (PP) lines at its sites in Ningbo and Maoming in the coming years to meet growing customers’ demand for resins in the region.
