AlwaysFree: Japan’s Toyo Wins EPCC Contract For India’s Numaligarh Refinery

Japan’s Toyo Engineering Corporation, through its subsidiary Toyo Engineering India Private Limited, has won the Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (EPCC) contract for a 3.55 million tons/year Diesel Hydro-treating (DHT) unit from Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL). The unit is part of NRL’s project at its facility in the Indian state of Assam aimed to expand the site’s capacity from 3 million tons/year to 9 million tons/year. The project is estimated to be worth INR28,026 Crore ($3.7 billion) and is part of the government’s 2030 hydrocarbon vision to meet the demand for petroleum products in Northeast India. The new unit will produce diesel complying with the BS-VI standards.
