AlwaysFree: Shell Announced Planned Renewable Energy Investment Budget in Brazil

On Tuesday, Royal Dutch Shell announced its planned renewable energy investment budget in Brazil via its subsidiary until 2025.

The budget is BRL3 billion (USD565 million) and it will mostly be allocated to solar energy projects. The company has 2 GW of solar energy projects under development and expects to reach 5 GW by the end of 2021.

Other than that, Shell will also develop the natural gas-fired thermal plant Marlim Azul with the generation set to start in 2022.
