Author: SSESSMENTS

On Wednesday, US President Donald Trump signed the new trade deal between the US, Mexico, and Canada (USMCA). The deal is replacing the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).

According to Trump, USMCA is the biggest, fairest, most balanced, and modern trade agreement ever achieved and is a massive win for US manufacturers and autoworkers.

The USMCA was proposed by more than a year ago to replace NAFTA. In December, it was approved by the House of Representatives (HoR) in a 385-41 agreeing votes. In mid-January, the US Senate approved it with 89-10 agreeing votes.

On December 10, the representatives of the three countries signed the deal in Mexico, finalizing it.
