Author: SSESSMENTS

On Thursday, US liquefied natural gas (LNG) company Venture Global LNG disclosed the value of its investment in developing a fourth LNG export facility in Louisiana, of more than USD10 billion.

The project is being called the CP2 and will be located adjacent to its upcoming Calcasieu Pass LNG export plant.

The CP2 project is set to have a production capacity of 20 million tpa. It will also incorporate technology to cut the amount of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere.

Venture Global CEO Mike Sabel stated that the CP2, the Calcasieu Pass, and the Plaquemines LNG facility now under construction, represent more than USD20 billion of the company’s investment in the State of Louisiana.

In the state, Venture Global has around 70 million tpa of LNG export capacity under construction or development in Louisiana.
