AlwaysFreeRegister: SIBUR Added Routes in Supplying Polymer Products to China

Author: SSESSMENTS

On Monday, Russia’s SIBUR announced the additional route of its polymer products supply to China aside from sea transportation.

The company is leveraging Russia’s rail transportation infrastructure to supply polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) from Tobolsk and Tomsk sites to China’s Chongqing and Chengdu.

Shipments by rail cut the time to only 10 days, compared to 30 days in shipping products by sea. The rail transportations also alleviate the risks of negative macro developments and expand SIBUR’s customer base in the central and western regions of China.

Fu Wei, Teamleader of Basic Polymer Sales, SIBUR International Trading (Shanghai) Co.,Ltd., commented, “We are now able to meet the needs of customers all over the country and offer them high-quality products at competitive prices, to be delivered in the shortest possible time.”
