China October PE Imports

According to China’s General Administration of Customs, the total imports of PE have declined by around 4k tons in October compared to the previous month, at around 1.34 mil tons.


The top 5 import origins of PE to China in October were Saudi Arabia (325,876 tons), Iran (168,180 tons), United Arab Emirates (142,504 tons), South Korea (106,418 tons) and Singapore (103,389 tons). The ranking in terms of import quantity for PE has remained the same as September, with the only exception of Singapore, replacing Thailand at the 5th position in October.


For HDPE, the total import quantity has declined by around 20k tons in October compared to the previous month, at around 643k tons. The top 5 import origins to China in October were Saudi Arabia (178,195 tons), Iran (107,281 tons) United Arab Emirates (90,843 tons), South Korea (68,157 tons) and India (26,464 tons). 


For LDPE, the total import quantity has reduced by around 10k tons in October compared to the previous month, at around 268k tons. The top 5 import origins to China in October were Iran (48,982 tons), Saudi Arabia (39,277 tons) United States (27,999 tons), Qatar (21,756 tons) and South Korea (21,704 tons).


For LLDPE, the total import quantity has increased by around 25k tons in October compared to the previous month, at around 425k tons. The top 5 import origins to China in October were Saudi Arabia (108,404 tons), Singapore (88,269 tons), Thailand (54,822 tons), United Arab Emirates (32,579 tons) and Malaysia (18,254 tons).
