A producer source informed SSESSMENTS.COM that Indonesia’s Chandra Asri Petrochemical will halt production at LLDPE plant and switch to producing HDPE grades in the near term. The company’s old LLDPE plant with a capacity of 200,000 tons/year located in Cilegon, Banten will be switched to production of HDPE Film, HDPE Yarn and HDPE Degradable within the week commencing February 10. However, the source was not able to unveil the exact date as the schedule is still undetermined. Pertaining to the trial production for mLLDPE, the producer stated that it is still a long way to go.
