A source from JG Summit Petrochemical Corp. gave updates on the company’s petrochemical complex production status. As contacted by SSESSMENTS.COM on October 29, a producer source informed that the company has no plan to bring the PP plant on-stream in early November; there is a possibility that the plant will remain shut until mid-December. For PE plant and naphtha cracker, the schedule remains the same; until late November.
Further added, if by the time the company finishes maintenance at PP plant and the propylene price is attractive, the company is likely to import instead of waiting for naphtha cracker maintenance to be completed to start producing polypropylene, as cited to SSESSMENTS.COM.
