Vietnamese PVC producers made different decisions for the November delivery price announcement. As contacted by SSESSMENTS.COM, one of the producers explained that the company decided to delay the price announcement until next week as the current VCM prices are high while PVC prices are on a downtrend. The producer will monitor market movement and VCM prices before deciding offers for November delivery.
On the other hand, a converter reported to SSESSMENTS.COM that another Vietnamese PVC producer proceeded with a downward adjustment of VND200,000/ton ($8.5/ton) only, as compared to October delivery. The converter will consider the purchasing quantity first and then decide whether to buy from the producer or take import cargoes from a Japanese producer which decreased by $30/ton compared to October shipment.
