A source from Philippines’ General Chemical & Resins Consortium Inc (GenChem) informed SSESSMENTS.COM regarding technical issues at its PVC plant. As contacted on May 18, the producer revealed some minor issues at its PVC plant due to shutdown since March following the Coronavirus lockdown. The company found some crack on the boiler at its PVC plant with a production capacity of 20,000 tons/year. Hence, it will take one more week to restart the plant. Initially, the producer planned to resume operation at the plant by May 16.
