AlwaysFree: Kremlin Expects No Negotiations With The West Anytime Soon — Spokesman

Author: SSESSMENTS

Dmitry Peskov noted that "still, Turkey and a number of other countries continue their attempts to mediate"

According to TASS, Russia's state-owned news agency article published on October 13, 2022, Negotiations between Russia and the West are unlikely to happen anytime soon due to the hostile attitude of Western states, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in an interview, partially published on Khabar 24 TV channel’s Telegram.

"It takes two to have a dialogue. Since the West takes a very, very hostile position towards us now, it is unlikely that any such perspectives (of negotiations) could be discussed anytime soon," the spokesman said.

He noted that "still, Turkey and a number of other countries continue their attempts to mediate."

Answering a reporter’s question about the perspectives of the Russian-Ukrainian dialogue, Peskov noted that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky cemented the refusal of negotiations with Vladimir Putin in the letter of law.

"Therefore, we do not understand how they will move further with that," the spokesman said.
