Austria’s Borealis Group AG will buy the entire chemically recycled feedstock output from Belgium’s Renasci Oostende Recycling NV’s high-tech recycling center in Oostende, Belgium.
The deal will deliver 20,000 tpa of output and enable Borealis to be one of the world’s leading suppliers of chemically recycled base chemicals and polyolefins. The feedstock will feed Borealis’ steam crackers which enables mass balance production of renewable and chemically recycled products.
For Borealis, the agreement with Renasci will be a complement to the OMV ReOil chemical recycling project. For Renasci, the deal will enable it to close the circular loop on plastics.
