On Wednesday, BP CEO Bernard Looney said that there are business opportunities in transforming the global energy system.
Calls for greener energy sources which translates into lower investments in oil and gas are in line with BP’s strategy. As hydrogen has the potential to be the key fuel in the future, BP hopes to at least obtain 10% of the market when it happens.
Looney opines that there is a role for both the so-called blue and green hydrogen, as they provide a clean alternative to natural gas and can also be utilized for heating homes, heavy industry, and transportation.
