Citgo Petroleum Corp. stated that it has no plan to idle its damaged 418,000 bpd refinery in Lake Charles, Louisiana on the back of Hurricane Laura.
Previously, rumors have spread that the company was assessing the prospect of closing the refinery for an indefinite period due to the extend of damage caused by the storm.
The rumor also cited the persistent low motor fuels’ demand in the country amid pandemic as a reason for the company to idle the refinery.
