AlwaysFree: Libya’s Sharara Oilfield Output Rise to Half Normal Level

Author: SSESSMENTS

On Monday, two industry sources with knowledge of the issue said that Libya’s Sharara oilfield output has now risen to about half the normal level.

According to a shipping report, Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC) has planned to export three Sharara cargoes this month, each contains 600,000 barrels of oil. The first cargo is said to load on the Aegean Nobility for trader State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) on October 25-26.

Previously on October 11, NOC lifted force majeure on the field after a ceasefire in the conflict which partially lifted a blockade. Sharara restarted operations at a rate of about 40,000 bpd then it increased gradually until at the end of last week it touched 100,000 bpd.

Earlier in June, the field also was briefly restarted but then unrest led to its closure again.
