AlwaysFree: Libya to Export 3 Crude Cargoes for October

Author: SSESSMENTS

According to two Libyan shipping sources, three cargoes of crude oil from Sharara oilfield are set for export in October.

Three cargoes of Esharara crude from Sharara are scheduled for prompt export from the port of Zawiya.

One source estimated the 600,000-630,000 barrels shipment would comment on October 25-26 on behalf of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR).

Two other sources expected the cargoes to set off on 27-28 October and 30-31 October but the buyers are yet to be known.

The Sharara oilfield restarted output on October 11 after almost nine months of blockades. The output is about 140,000-150,000 bpd.

On a related note, Libya’s National Oil Co. (NOC) said on Sunday that it had completed partial maintenance at Zawia's berth 3 ahead of the return of the country’s export operations.

Looking ahead, for November exports, at least 120,000 bpd of Esharara crude have been allocated but that is still not the final level. The figure would depend on the progress of output increases at the field and on the restart of the Zawiya refinery.
