According to the company’s website new release on February 14, 2023, Maersk is extremely conscious of the severe situation caused by Cyclone Gabrielle in New Zealand, in light of this, Maersk will be providing a detention holiday for both Imports and Exports effective 13Th February- 14 February, for Tauranga, Auckland and Napier.
Maersk hopes that this will provide you with a bit of respite from the situation and enable you to take stock, without having to be overly concerned with detention penalties over these 2 days. Maersk is updating the systems for this holiday to be applied automatically, however if for some reason you do incur detention over this period, please contact your Customer Experience agent to arrange for a waiver.
