Author: SSESSMENTS

On Monday, according to Refinitiv Eikon data, Russian pipe-laying vessel Akademik Cherskiy is heading to the German project hub of Mukran.

The vessel is estimated to finish the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline and is scheduled to arrive at the port used to store pipes for the project on Tuesday.

The Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline is built on the bed of the Baltic Sea to Germany to double the existing Nord Stream pipeline’s capacity. At the moment, only the final stretch of the 1,230 km pipeline, the 120 km in Danish waters, needs to be laid.
