A joint venture (JV) company of PT. Pertamina (Persero) and Rosneft Oil Co PJSC, Pertamina Rosneft Pengolahan dan Petrokimia, has let basic engineering design and front-end engineering design (FEED) contracts to Tecnicas Reunidas S.A. for its grassroots integrated oil refinery in Tuban, East Java, Indonesia.
The refinery is planned to have a crude processing capacity of 300,000 bpd, with a petrochemical complex producing more than 1 million tpa of ethylene and 1.3 million tpa of aromatic hydrocarbons.
The integrated refining and petrochemical complex is scheduled for a startup within 5 years.
