According to two sources familiar with the issue, US shale oil producer Pioneer Natural Resources Co. has put on sale its assets in the Delaware basin of Texas with a hope of securing USD2 billion.
The assets currently for sale were acquired along with the USD4.5 billion purchase of Parsley Energy, which used to have 350 wells across four counties in the Delaware Basin.
If realized, the sale would make the company focus on its traditional base, the Midland portion of the Permian Basin.
