AlwaysFree: Run Rates At Chinese PDH Plants Hit 13-Month High In October

Author: SSESSMENTS

Run rates at Chinese propane dehydrogenation (PDH) plants hit a 13-month high in October, an industry survey showed. According to the survey, Chinese PDH plants operated at an average run rate of 91% of capacity last month, increasing from 86% in September. No PDH operators conducted maintenance in October. At the same time, robust margins also encouraged plants to maintain high operating rates, market sources said.

Zhejiang Satellite operated at full capacity last month, up from 78% in September. Meanwhile, Hebei Haiwei increased its run rates from 75% to 94% over the same period. Both operators’ run rates were lower in September as they performed scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. Run rates at Zhejiang Petrochemical’s new 600,000 tons PDH plant rose from 61% in September to 70% in October. Meanwhile, Fujiang Meide plans to bring online its new 660,000 tons/year PDH plant this month.
