Saudi Basic Industries Corp. (SABIC) is researching plastic waste-to-oil technology and plans to establish its first chemical recycling project.
The company targets to utilize mixed plastic waste as a feedstock to be converted into pyrolysis oil, which can be used for several purposes including producing heat, cooling, and general electricity.
The feedstock will be sourced, collected, sorted, and supplied from the municipal solid waste to the chemical recycling facility.
