AlwaysFree: Trans Mountain Pipeline Restarts After Floods

Author: SSESSMENTS

On Sunday, Trans Mountain Pipeline announced that it has restarted safely following a three-week pause due to the flooding in Canada’s British Columbia.

All the necessary assessments, repairs, and construction of protective earthworks needed to turn the taps back on have been completed by the company and the company will monitor the facility.

The company added that there is no evidence of heavy damage to the pipeline nor the release of any product in the aftermath.

Previously, in mid-November, the pipeline was closed as a precaution during a massive flood across southern BC. The province had to issue an emergency order on November 19 limiting consumers in storm-stricken parts of the province and it has to extend the gas rationing until December 14.
