AlwaysFree: US Slaps Sanctions On Firms Involved In Iran’s Petroleum, Petrochemical Exports

Author: SSESSMENTS

The United States on Thursday blacklisted 11 foreign firms for being involved in Iran’s petroleum and petrochemical exports. The US Treasury said it imposed sanctions on six Iranian, Chinese, and UAE companies for facilitating the sale and shipment of Iranian petrochemicals. The State Department also blacklisted five companies as well as three executive officers of those firms for doing business with Iran’s petroleum and petrochemical industry.

These companies are also accused of supporting Triliance Petrochemical Co Ltd, a Hong Kong-based broker that is under US blacklist. Among other sanctioned companies are Iran’s Zagros Petrochemical Co, the UAE’s Trio Energy DMCC and Petrotech FZE, China’s Dinrin Ltd, and Hong Kong’s Dynapex Energy Ltd and Jingho Technology Co Ltd.
