- A trader based in Qingdao, Shandong Province, China contacted SSESSMENTS.COM revealed that the company has made a price adjustment in line with the movement in the futures market. As of June 12 morning, LLDPE prices in the futures market showed a downward movement and hampered buying sentiment. As such, the source decided to reduce the offers for local LLDPE Film C4 by CNY50/ton ($7/ton) as compared to a day earlier. While for the other PE grades, the company maintains the offers stable. As the futures market is weakening, buyers refrain from making any procurement activities and prefer to monitor the market closely.
- In the futures market, SSESSMENTS.COM noted that September 2020 LLDPE futures on the Dalian Commodity Exchange have been fluctuating throughout the week. Since June 10, LLDPE prices in the futures market were showing a downward trend. Settlement for September 2020 LLDPE futures on June 11 captured at CNY6,660/ton ($942/ton), decreased by CNY15/ton ($2/ton) as compared to June 10 settlement. On June 12, September 2020 LLDPE futures opened at CNY6,600/ton ($934/ton), lowered by CNY60/ton ($8.5/ton) from the previous day settlement.
