- A Thai PE producer explained to SSESSMENTS.COM regarding the hefty adjustment made on import PE offers across all grades to China. The producer stated that the company is using the opportunity to increase the offers following the uptrend in the domestic market. However, the offers deemed unworkable and as of April 14, the offers for HDPE Film and LLDPE Film C4 are adjusted down by $20-30/ton and $30/ton respectively compared to the offers announced a day earlier.
- On the supply side, market sources reported to SSESSMENTS.COM that the inventory at the two leading Chinese polyolefins producers recorded at 910,000 tons as of Tuesday morning. Compared to Monday’s level, the inventory decreased by 50,000 tons.
