- This week, August shipment offers for HDPE Film cargoes from a South Korean producer surfaced in China market with an increment of $50/ton compared to a fortnight ago. The current offers stand at $970/ton on LC at sight, CIF China Main Port basis. However, a source revealed to SSESSMENTS.COM that due to the weak buying sentiment, sales for the materials were not satisfactory this week. While for Thailand origin, deals for HDPE Film cargoes concluded at $970-980/ton on the same payment and delivery term, $40/ton higher compared to last week’s deals level.
- In the futures market, on July 15, SSESSMENTS.COM noted that September 2020 LLDPE futures on the Dalian Commodity Exchange opened at CNY7,300/ton ($1,043/ton), at CNY20/ton ($3/ton) lower compared to Tuesday’s settlement. While as observed at 2.30 PM (GMT+8), September 2020 LLDPE futures fell by CNY70/ton ($10/ton). On the supply front, market sources reported that the inventory level of the two leading Chinese polyolefins producers remains stable on the daily comparison, recorded at 720,000 tons as of Wednesday morning.
