- A global trading house contacted by SSESSMENTS.COM’s team unveiled the latest import PE offers to the country. The trader informed that offers for HDPE Film, LDPE Film, and LLDPE Film C4 from the leading Saudi polyolefins producer has increased on a weekly comparison. Offers for HDPE Film showed the highest increment by $50/ton, LDPE Film up by $30/ton, while LLDPE Film C4 up by $10/ton. Likewise, during the same timeframe, a Qatari PE producer also increased the offers for HDPE Film and LDPE Film by $30/ton and for LLDPE Film C4 by $25/ton. Even though buying sentiment is flat and buyers show resistance towards the high import offers, the trader revealed that the company still managed to conclude some deals this week.
- In the futures market, LLDPE prices on the Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) started this week with a downward trend. On June 22, September 2020 LLDPE futures decreased by CNY35/ton ($5/ton) day-on-day, settled at CNY6,785/ton ($959/ton) by Monday close. Coming to June 23, LLDPE futures showed some increases. September 2020 LLDPE futures increased by CNY45/ton ($6/ton) as observed at 1.50 PM GMT+8, opened at CNY6,780 ($958/ton) by Tuesday morning trading session.
