- In the local market, a Chinese trader reported to SSESMENTS.COM on the adjustment of PE offers as of June 4. Offers for local HDPE Film increased by CNY100/ton ($14/ton) compared to the price list received on Wednesday, June 3. While offers for LDPE Film and LLDPE Film C4 remain stable compared to the same period. On the supply side, the inventory level at the two leading polyolefins producers in China recorded at 730,000 tons as of Wednesday, June 4, decreased by 10,000 tons compared to Tuesday, June 3 level.
- From the import market, a global trading house informed SSESMENTS.COM that offers for import HDPE Pipe grades remain stable on a weekly comparison. While for done deals level, this week, the trader sold HDPE Pipe Black (100) of United Arab Emirates origin and Saudi HDPE Pipe (PE 100) cargoes at the same level to the initial offers between $1,050-1,090/ton and between $950-960/ton, respectively on LC at sight, CIF China Main Port basis. The trader stated that demand for HDPE Pipe in China is considered healthy as the construction sector remains active.
