- In the local market, Chinese market players contacted by SSESSMENTS.COM stated that the latest offers for local PE cargoes across different grades from a trader have emerged with an increase as supported by the firmer futures prices. For HDPE Film cargoes, the offers went up by CNY100/ton ($14/ton). Whereas for LDPE Film and LLDPE Film C4, the offers for both grades were hiked by CNY200/ton ($28/ton). All compared to a day earlier. On the supply side, as of Tuesday, July 7, the total inventory level at the two leading Chinese polyolefins producers recorded at 685,000 tons, a reduction of 50,000 tons from Monday’s level.
- In the import market, a trader in China reported to SSESSMENTS.COM on offering LLDPE Film C4 of Brazil origin at $830/ton on LC at sight, CIF China Main Port basis, with the estimated time of arrival in late July. As compared to last week’s level, the offers increased by $10/ton. To date, the trader managed to sell some volumes to their customers, but unwilling to disclose the exact deal levels.
