- An Indonesian converter told SSESSMENTS.COM that the second-largest local trading house in the country has increased the offers significantly as the company claimed that the supply is limited. However, the source is not able to disclose the exact number of increment. The latest offer received for localized HDPE Film of Southeast Asia origin stands at IDR12,600,000/ton ($843/ton) on 30 days credit term, FD Indonesia basis and excluding 10% VAT. For the end product, the converter stated that demand for single-use plastic bags is healthy since two weeks ago and the converter believe that the demand will remain strong in the upcoming week.
- From the producer’s end, the leading Indonesian polyolefins producer has announced a fresh price list for the week commencing May 11. As compared to last week, SSESSMENTS.COM noted that local offers for HDPE Film remain stable, while offers for LLDPE Film C4 increased by IDR260,000/ton ($17/ton).
