- A market source informed SSESSMENTS.COM that a Middle Eastern PE producer adjusted up LDPE Film and LLDPE Film C4 offers to Philippines market by $40/ton and $70/ton, respectively compared to early June offers. However, buyers deemed these offers as unworkable and were unwilling to take the cargoes, particularly for LLDPE Film C4. Due to this, the source prefers to return the allocation to the producer so they could reallocate the cargoes to other markets for better sales.
- While in Vietnam, a local converter revealed to SSESSMENTS.COM that this week, the company did not receive many fresh offers from suppliers. July shipment offers for Qatari LLDPE Film C4 increased by $20/ton compared to last week. While Saudi HDPE Film cargoes are available between $850-860/ton on LC at sight, CIF Vietnam Main Port basis. These offers are deemed too high; hence, the converter prefers to halt procurements and wait for July shipment offers from other suppliers. Demand-wise, the finished product sales on the converter’s end remain healthy. However, as the current PE prices are still too high, the converter would rather wait on the sidelines while expecting the producers to revise prices in the near term.
