- A Vietnamese trader contacted by SSESSMENTS.COM informed on the latest transactions for localized and import PE cargoes from their end. For localized cargoes, the trader is offering Saudi LLDPE Film C4 at VND21,000,000-21,300,000/ton ($895-908/ton). The offers were reportedly slightly higher from last week but no exact price changes were revealed. For LDPE Film, the trader is offering localized cargoes of Malaysia origin at VND24,000,000-24,500,000/ton ($1,023-1,045/ton). All on cash, FD Haiphong basis and including 10% VAT. Regarding demand, the trader revealed that sales from their end remain slow, yet inquiries from buyers have slightly increased from last week. For import cargoes, the trader informed on purchasing LDPE Film of Malaysia origin at $910/ton on LC at sight, CIF Haiphong Port.
- A Malaysian polyolefins producer informed SSESSMENTS.COM that the company has sold out all of June shipment allocation. As revealed, only around 40% of their June shipment allocation was sold to Southeast Asia while the rest sold to China market. For the Southeast Asia market, the trader mentioned that Vietnam buyers were able to accept higher prices as compared to buyers in other Southeast Asian countries, that is why most of the foreign suppliers prefer to focus on selling to Vietnam market.
