- A Singapore-based trader revealed to SSESSMENTS.COM that the company has announced PE offers for August shipment to Malaysia and Cambodia. Compared to July shipment, offers from the trader for Saudi LLDPE Film C4 increased by $50/ton, available at $920/ton on LC at sight, CIF main port basis. Buyers submitted bids at below $900/ton levels, and those bids were rejected. The trader managed to sell to Malaysia at $20/ton lower than the initial offer level while to Cambodia, the cargoes were sold at $10/ton below the initial offer level.
- A converter in Indonesia commented to SSESSMENTS.COM that it is confusing that import PE offers remain firm or even increased while local PE offers in the country have started to drop. Due to this, the converter has yet to learn the ideal price for import Middle Eastern LLDPE Film C4 cargoes. Whereas for Middle Eastern HDPE Film, the converter expressed buy idea at $900/ton on LC at sight, CIF Indonesia main port basis. The converter plans to make purchases next week. Pertaining to lower local offers, the converter opined that it suits the current demand for end-products. The company received nil orders this week.
