- A Malaysian converter reported to SSESSMENTS.COM on receiving June shipment offers for LLDPE Film C4 from a Saudi producer. The offers were $20/ton higher than a month earlier, stood at $750/ton on LC at sight, CIF Malaysia main port basis. The converter managed to conclude deals at $10/ton lower than the initial offer level.
- For localized PE offers in Vietnam, a thin plastic bag converter in the country informed SSESSMENTS.COM that the offers were on an uptrend. Offers for localized LLDPE Film C4 from South Korea as well as HDPE Film and LDPE Film from Saudi increased by VND500,000/ton ($21/ton) compared to last week. According to the converter, the uptrend is due to the increases in feedstock prices and limited availability of materials in the Vietnam market. Pertaining to the end-product sales, the converter mentioned that the company received inquiries with increasing volume for plastic nylon bags. However, overall demand is not yet satisfactory, hence, the production rate is maintained at 80% of the normal capacity.
