- An Indonesian converter revealed to SSESSMENTS.COM that the company managed to secure some volume of import LLDPE Film C4 from Saudi at $40/ton lower than the initial offer level at $800/ton on LC at sight, CIF Indonesia main port basis. While for HDPE Film from the United Arab Emirates, the offers stand at $800/ton with the same payment and delivery term. Offers for HDPE Film at this level were deemed unworkable by the converter. The source voiced out that import offers for HDPE Film should be at $700/ton-level to make it attractive.
- Whereas in Thailand, a local converter told SSESSMENTS.COM pertaining to the update of the lockdown scenario in the country. So far, the government is still monitoring the situation amid the Coronavirus pandemic. The government may implement a lockdown at any time if it deems necessary. From the converter’s end, demand is still ongoing as the converter produces food packaging products. Despite the ongoing demand, the converter is still cautious in procuring raw materials amid the possibility of a further price reduction.
