- A converter in Indonesia revealed on submitting a bid for Thailand LLDPE Film C4 and LDPE Film to a trader at $680/ton and $700/ton, respectively on LC at sight, CIF Indonesia Main Port basis. However, the trader rejected the bids. While for Middle Eastern cargoes, no offers received this week, as stated to SSESSMENTS.COM.
- A Vietnamese converter informed SSESSMENTS.COM the company purchased Singaporean LLDPE Film C4 at $770/ton on TT, CIF Vietnam Main Port basis. While offers for LLDPE Film C4 cargoes from the leading Saudi polyolefins producer are being offered at $30/ton lower compared to last week’s level. Despite the adjustment, the converter prefers Singaporean cargoes as the payment is on TT. Demand-wise, finished product demand and production rates at the converter’s end remains stable. No significant impact of Coronavirus pandemic as the converter mostly producing food-related and homecare products. The converter opined that PE prices would remain soft within this month despite some rebound in crude oil prices by the end of last week.
