According to the trader, the cargoes are available at $880/ton on LC at sight, CIF Malaysia main port basis. The converter mentioned that offers are via a global trading house. The converter considered the offers as too high and opined that the ideal level for the offers should be at $830/ton with the same payment and delivery terms. Due to low end-product sales and unclear market direction, the converter is keeping inventory as low as possible.
- Offers for localized HDPE Film and LLDPE Film C4 from Saudi are stable compared to last week, a Vietnamese converter informed SSESSMENTS.COM. Offers for LLDPE Film C4 stand at VND23,500,000/ton ($1,010/ton) while HDPE Film between VND24,200,000-24,500,000/ton ($1,040-1,053/ton) on cash, FD Vietnam basis and including 10% VAT. The converter further informed that HDPE Film offers are supported by the limited supply for the grade in the Vietnam market. However, demand is still weak as most buyers prefer to wait on the sidelines.
