- A Vietnamese converter notified SSESSMENTS.COM pertaining to the uptrend in import and localized PP Homo Raffia prices in the country. According to the converter, on a monthly comparison, offers for import PP Homo Raffia of South Korea origin increased by $100/ton. While for localized Chinese PP Homo Raffia cargoes, the offers have gone up between VND500,000-700,000/ton ($21-30/ton) during the same timeframe. However, the converter opined that the uptrend in PP Homo Raffia prices would not sustain for a long time as the sales for the end-products remain slow amid the rainy season. Once supply outpaces demand, sellers have no other choice but to lower offers. In August, PP Homo Raffia prices in the local market would have a possibility to decrease between VND1,500,000-2,000,000/ton ($64-86/ton).

- Whereas in Indonesia, the leading polyolefins producer in the country has announced a fresh price list for the week commencing July 20. As compared to price list announced on July 15, SSESSMENTS.COM noted that the producer maintained the offers for PP Homo Raffia unchanged, available at IDR15,570,000/ton ($1,051/ton) on cash, FD Indonesia basis and excluding 10% VAT.
