- A converter in Thailand revealed to SSESSMENTS.COM that the offers for local PP Homo Raffia cargoes from local producers remain stable on a weekly comparison. For cargoes from two of the local producers, the offers are available between THB34,000-35,000/ton ($1,073-1,105/ton) on 30 days credit term, FD Thailand basis, and excluding 7% VAT. However, the converter stated that the company did not check for the offers from another local producer as the offers were usually higher compared to these two producers owing to limited supply. Demand-wise, finished products sales from the company’s end are slower than last month and the production is only running at 50% from the normal rate. Looking ahead, PP market in the country predicted to remain slow due to poor macroeconomic sector. While for the pricing outlook, the converter does not want to speculate; prefers to monitor market movement closely.
- A Thai producer reported to SSESSMENTS.COM that the producer’s latest offers for PP Homo Raffia to Indonesia market are higher by $20/ton from last month, available at $1,050/ton on LC at sight, CIF Indonesia Main Port Basis.
