- A trader based in Indonesia informed SSESSMENTS.COM that the latest offers for local PP Homo Raffia from the company’s end were hiked by IDR300,000/ton ($21/ton) as compared to a fortnight ago. The trader skipped offering last week since they were on Eid Al-Fitr holiday. At the moment, the number of bids and deals are still limited since other market players have also just returned from the holiday. Therefore, most of the customers are probably still checking the prices and monitoring the market before making procurement. From the trader’s end, the company is planning to purchase some quantity this week or next week with the buy idea below IDR14,000,000/ton ($971/ton)-level. In the days to come, the trader opined that local PP offers may be adjusted up further between IDR300,00-500,000/ton ($21-34/ton).
- In Vietnam, a trader reported to SSESSMENTS.COM on receiving offers for PP Homo Raffia from a local PP producer at an attractive level; VND23,000,000/ton ($985/ton), or VND100,000/ton ($4/ton) higher than last week’s level. All offers are on cash, FD Vietnam basis and including 10% VAT. Considering the high prices for propylene, the trader wanted to raise their offers as well but worried that it would be difficult to conclude deals.
