- Market sources in Indonesia revealed to SSESSMENTS.COM that the leading polyolefins producer in the country has announced a fresh price list for the week commencing May 4, 2020. As compared to the previous price list, the producer initiated a price reduction of IDR150,000/ton ($8/ton) for PP Homo Raffia. The latest offers from the producer are available at IDR13,330,000/ton ($888/ton) on cash, FD Indonesia basis, and excluding 10% VAT. Meanwhile, the producer’s offers for PP Yarn Higher MFI remain absent this week.
- A global trading house informed SSESSMENTS.COM that last week, the company was trying to get firm bids for Middle Eastern PP Homo Raffia cargoes at $800/ton on LC at sight, CIF Vietnam Main Port basis as the company’s sell idea was at that level. Unfortunately, such a level was deemed unacceptable by buyers. Similarly, no deals concluded for PP Homo Raffia of South Korea origin at $820/ton on the same payment and delivery terms. This week, the trader plans to buy some cargoes but is still unsure about the current price trend.
