A global trading house revealed to SSESSMENTS.COM on receiving early August shipment PE offers from Thailand to China market. As reported, offers for LLDPE Film C4 increased by $40/ton from last week, currently available at $910/ton. Meanwhile, offers for HDPE Film, HDPE Yarn and mLLDPE C6 stand at $1,015/ton, $930-940/ton, and $1,020/ton respectively. No price comparison available for offers for HDPE and mLLDPE grades since the trader did not receive offers for the grades last week. All offers are on LC at sight, CIF China Main Port basis.
In the market, deals for LLDPE Film C4 from Thailand concluded at the initial offer level, while for HDPE Film at the initial level to slightly lower by $5/ton. The trader added China’s futures market is stronger since there are a lot of hedgers to hype the market. Meanwhile, converters prefer to stay on the sidelines and monitor the market, SSESSMENTS.COM was told.
According to SSESSMENTS.COM pricing database, import HDPE Film offers to China broke above $1,000/ton-threshold this week after the Thai producer approached the market with offers at $1,015/ton on LC at sight, CIF China main ports basis. Compared to a month ago offers for import Thai HDPE Film to China surged by $155/ton, LLDPE Film C4 by $75/ton while mLLDPE C6 by $90/ton.
