NewsSSESSMENTS: Global Trading House Unveiled Contrast Response From China And India Market Towards Taiwanese PVC Cargoes

Author: SSESSMENTS

A global trading house contacted by SSESSMENTS.COM unveiled the contrast response from China and India market towards Taiwanese PVC cargoes. Indian buyers are fervently asking for allocation although the trader has sold out allocations for August shipment. The trader explained, “Today, we are busy telling our Indian customers that we have already sold out allocations for August shipment. The leading Taiwanese PVC producer has cut the allocation to all market by 50% from the normal volume, thus we estimated that the total allocation for August shipment is only around 35,000 tons. The producer had to cut the allocation as they need to clear the backlogs.”

Meanwhile, to the China market, the Taiwanese producer is not really pushing the sales on the back of the re-escalated tension between the countries. Due to the issues on clearing Taiwanese cargoes at the ports, the producer is not aggressively selling to the China market. Nonetheless, keep serving Chinese customers if there are any inquiries received. In the China domestic market, local PVC producers are not eagerly offering to the export market as the current price levels are deemed unworkable for foreign buyers. Looking ahead, demand for PVC in China predicted to remain healthy, as supported by the re-construction projects from the damage caused by the flood, SSESSMENTS.COM was told.
